Born in Italy in 1972, I started drawing in early childhood and discovered photography later in my life. In my paintings and photos I try to show the world the way I see it, with its concealed, underground reality coming to the apparent surface. I have a special interest in nature and its fabulous visual stories, and in people too. My chiaroscuro portraits try to capture their essence and unveil their most intimate emotions. This is also my personal tribute to the great old masters of tenebrism, Caravaggio in the first place. As regards women, my WoMen Unchained laugh at themselves with irony and create their own lives hand in hand with men, liberating themselves from the chains of self-pitying feminism. Always on the move, I live between Italy, France and Spain.
